Community Gig is a reverse-auction board for everyday work. You post what you need. People nearby ask short public questions, then bid a price and when they can do it. You pick the person, not an algorithm.

We started in New York City because that’s where the first neighbors are. Other cities will open when we can actually support them, not as a waitlist with a fake launch date.

Money is supposed to stay local. We don’t take 20–30% of the job. Five posts are free, extra posts are 50¢, and a $2 connection fee unlocks contact when you accept a bid. Optional ID checks are $3 and a photo-ID match, not a background check. Community Pros include that check on the same card-on-file path. That’s the business.
